MCAT Takes Form in the Community
January 1982 The Mutual aid Law Enforcement Administrators of Brookfield, Countryside, LaGrange, LaGrange Park , Riverside and Western Springs. Made a request to the Village and City boards to establish a Major Case Assistance Team.
April – May 1982 The above communities pass resolutions to adopt a major case unit. (MCAT) The unit works on various cases in the community during the next 10 years, pooling the resources of departments and additional communities become members.
March 1993 MCAT Administrators review the purpose of the mission of MCAT. An update of the procedures are changed and the following communities work under this agreement. Brookfield , Countryside, Forestview, Hodgkins, LaGrange, LaGrange Park , Lyons , McCook, North Riverside, Riverside and Western Springs.
